Created in collaboration with artist Elizabeth Lide for her installation DRAWN, Whitespace, Atlanta 2020 – 2021

The 40 minute audio loop is composed in six sequential sections from sound—the mundane to the tragic—collected at the same locations and times in which Elizabeth made drawings: MASS MoCA artist residency; Atlanta studio; Auvillar, France residency; Atlanta studio; Quarantine period; Hambidge residency. The 40 minute audio loop, entitled Times was installed in an alcove in the gallery. The playback electronics were housed within the cabinet of a battery powered record player built by Elizabeth Lide’s father. The audio could be heard clearly throughout the gallery.
